Hair replacement, commonly known as the wig, is a device that helps conceal baldness without the need of having a surgical procedure. Hair replacements pieces are more commonly worn by men but it is not unheard of for a woman to wear a wig to cover baldness or the thinning of hair. With all of the intrusive and expensive cosmetic surgeries available to change the look and feel of our bodies it isn’t surprising that some people prefer the simplicity of a hair replacement piece.

How Hair Replacement Pieces Are Created
Hair replacements pieces are generally made out of two materials, synthetic fibers which resemble hair and actual real hair. The synthetic fibers that are used to create unnatural wigs are usually of very low quality as it is difficult to match the exact look, feel, and texture that you would receive by wearing a wig of real hair. Many people wonder where the wig makers get enough of the real hair to create a significant amount of hair replacement pieces. The majority of this hair is imported from Asia and then dyed so that it matches the color of the wearer’s original hair color.

One Over The Other
So with all the problems that can arise from this replacement hair pieces one may wonder why a person would bother to purchase one when they could opt to undergo a fairly simple surgery that could completely solve the problem. The majority of people think that many people decide to undertake this path as the cost is so much less than the surgical options that are available but this simply isn’t true. When you take into consideration all of the maintenance and replacement costs that are involved with hair replacement products the costs of these two different options even out in time.
