Butt Lifts For a More Sensual Body




The buttocks have been getting more press coverage these days; Jennifer Lopez is the ‘it’ model for women who want a fuller behind and a more sensual physique. Even if you’re not gifted with plump, perky buttocks, you can still get the lower body figure you desire with a cosmetic procedure called the buttocks lift. This is an invasive procedure which is either performed by removal of excess skin, insertion of implants, or injection of body fat on target areas on the buttocks; this results in a better silhouette, both in profile and from behind.

The buttocks lift may be done as a stand-alone procedure, or it may be done to complement a total body lift. A buttocks lift enhances the contour of the buttocks, lending it a perkier and more youthful look. It can be done in two ways, one of which is the removal of excess skin on certain areas, and then tightening the remaining skin just above the upper area of the butt; this procedure ‘lifts’ the buttocks for a plump appearance. Those who have sagging butts (due to genetic or physiological factors) can benefit from the removal of tissue, and through skin tightening. This does not involve an augmentation in the form of implants or injection, but will still end up with the intended look.

Since this procedure is invasive, the patient is recommended to allot at least two weeks for the recuperation period. During this time, he or she should not sit on the treatment area in order to avoid unnecessarily stressing the fresh wounds or newly-implanted mass. The patient can resume normal activities in less than a month if he or she refrains from activities which involve extended periods in a seated position. There is an expected swollenness a few days following the operation, but this will ease out within the week; patients should try not to engage in intense activities (such as sports or aerobic workouts) within the next two months.

The entire procedure lasts for up to three hours, and will involve long incisions (and eventually, long scars). The scars mature within two years of the operation, but these are not that prominent since they are located across the upper part of the buttocks; these can otherwise easily be concealed by most styles of underwear or swimsuits. The costs for a buttocks lift depend on the procedure which is recommended for the patient, but it will normally range anywhere from 5000 to 13000 dollars.
